Ryan Wilson (ice Hockey)
Ryan Wilson (born February 3, 1987) is a Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey Defenceman (ice hockey), defenceman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) with the Colorado Avalanche. Playing career Junior Wilson first played Major junior hockey with the Toronto St. Michael's Majors of the Ontario Hockey League. Ryan led the defense in scoring in the last two of his three seasons with the Majors, before joining the Sarnia Sting for the 2006-07 OHL season, 2006–07 season. Undrafted but establishing as a hard-hitting offensive defenseman, Wilson was invited as a free agent to the 2006 St. Louis Blues training camp before returning to the OHL. As captain of Sarnia, Ryan led the Sting's defense to be named to be named OHL defenseman of the Month for October. Defenceman (ice Hockey)
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). They were once called cover-point. In regular play, two defencemen complement three forwards and a goaltender on the ice. Miikka Kiprusoff
Miikka Sakari Kiprusoff (; born October 26, 1976), nicknamed "Kipper", is a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the San Jose Sharks and Calgary Flames during his National Hockey League (NHL) career. He was selected in the fifth round, 116th overall, by the Sharks in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft, and has also played professionally for TPS of the Finnish SM-liiga, as well as for both AIK IF and Timrå IK of the Swedish Elitserien. Kiprusoff represented Finland several times on the international stage, earning silver medals at the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1999 and 2001, as well as leading the Finns to a surprise second-place finish at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. He also helped the Finnish national team win the bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Jordan Douglas Leopold (born August 3, 1980) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He was drafted in the second round, 44th overall, by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1999, though never making an appearance with the team. Lawrence D. Nycholat (born May 7, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks and the Colorado Avalanche. The Quad City Flames were an American professional ice hockey team that played in the American Hockey League from 2007 to 2009. They were owned by QC Sports Ventures Inc., an ownership group based out of the Quad Cities.
