Ryan Watson (cricketer)
Ryan Robert Watson (born 12 November 1976) is a Zimbabwean-born Scottish cricketer who played limited over internationals and captained Scottish cricket team, Scotland. He currently plays club cricket with Forfarshire CC. Watson is a hard hitting right-handed batsman and is able to bowl both medium-fast and off-break deliveries. He hit the headlines in 2003 when he hit a century (cricket), century off just 43 balls in a game against Somerset at The Grange, Edinburgh. In 2008 he became one of the first three players to be awarded a contract with Cricket Scotland. Early days Watson was previously on the coaching staff of Potchefstroom Boys High in South Africa. He decided at the age of 23 to leave South Africa permanently in an attempt to qualify to play for Scotland under residency rules. Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Dewald Nel
Johan Dewald Nel (born 6 June 1980) is a former South African-born Scottish professional cricketer. He is a primarily a right-arm fast-medium bowler, who also bats right-handed. Nel played 110 times for the Scottish cricket team, his début coming in a Totesport League match against Durham on 6 June 2004 taking 2–16 off 7 overs. He played in 19 One Day Internationals for Scotland, his first match at that level coming against Pakistan on 27 June 2006. Gordon Goudie
Gordon Goudie (born 12 August 1987) is a Scottish cricketer. He currently plays for Scottish League side Mazars Grange CC as well as for the Scotland national cricket team. Goudie made his One Day International (ODI) debut in July 2008, and in February 2010 played his first Twenty20 International. In December 2008, Goudie became one of the first three players to be awarded a contract with Cricket Scotland as the board looked to increase professionalism. Career After playing for the MCC Young Cricketers in 2005, Goudie signed a contract with Middlesex that year, but was released in 2006. Later in 2005, Goudie was called up to play for the Scottish Saltires; the Saltires were playing in the National League and were stuck at the bottom of the second division.
