Ryan Solle
Ryan Solle (born September 11, 1985 in Sanford, North Carolina) is an American soccer player, currently without a club. Career College Solle grew up in Broadway, North Carolina, played club soccer for the Fayetteville Force with whom he won three consecutive North Carolina state championships (1999, 2000 and 2001), and attended Lee County High School in Sanford, North Carolina, where he was selected as a 2003 Parade Magazine High School All American. He played college soccer Wake Forest University from 2003 to 2006, and finished second on the Wake Forest career assist list with twenty-seven in fifty games. During his college years Solle also played in the USL Premier Development League for both Raleigh CASL Elite and Carolina Dynamo. Professional Solle was drafted in the second round (25th overall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft by New England Revolution, but never played a first team game with the team and was released on August 31, 2007. Sanford is a city in Lee County, North Carolina, Lee County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 30,261 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Lee County. The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. United Soccer Leagues 2009
The 2009 season is the 23rd season played by the United Soccer Leagues. Season titles will be contested by 20 professional men's clubs in the USL First Division and USL Second Division, as well as 37 professional and amateur women's clubs in the W-League and 68 professional and amateur men's teams in the USL Premier Development League. The First Division season kicked off on April 11 with the US Open Cup finalist Charleston Battery and host defending champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC playing to a scoreless tie, while the Carolina RailHawks defeated the visiting Minnesota Thunder 2–1. The season ended on September 20 with the Charleston Battery defeating hosts Minnesota Thunder 3–2. As a change for this season, the Finals will follow the rest of the playoffs in being two legs.
