Ryan Price (English Footballer)
Ryan Price (born 13 March 1970) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper in the Football League for Macclesfield Town. He was on the books of Birmingham City, but without playing in the League, and played non-League football for Stafford Rangers, Macclesfield Town, Telford United, Tamworth and Hinckley United. Career Price was born in Coven, near Wolverhampton, and began his football career as a trainee with Bolton Wanderers. He then joined Stafford Rangers, where he made 294 consecutive appearances beginning with his debut game in August 1988. After six seasons and 325 appearances, he joined Second Division club Birmingham City in 1994 for an initial fee of Β£20,000. Price's time at Birmingham City was mostly spent as an understudy to first-choice goalkeeper Ian Bennett; his only first-team appearance came in the Associate Members' Cup in September 1994, but he received a winners' medal in that competition as an unused substitute in the final ... Coven, Staffordshire
Coven is a village in the district of South Staffordshire, England, near to the border with Wolverhampton. Together with Brewood it forms part of the parish of Brewood & Coven. Etymology Coven derives from the Anglo-Saxon ''cofum'', the dative plural of ''cofa'', which means either 'a cove' or 'a hut'. History The first record of Coven (as ''Cove'') is in the Domesday Book (1086); when it was listed as being held by William de Stafford. Prior to the Norman Conquest it was held by the Saxon ceorl Alric. Iron-making was carried on at a furnace and two forges near to the village from the seventeenth century or earlier. 'The Homage' (circa 1679) is said to be the oldest brick-built house in Staffordshire. England C National Football Team
The England national football C team (previously known as the England National Game XI and the England Semi-Pro national team) is the football team that represents England at non-league level. Formed in 1979 as the England Non-League team, it features players who play for clubs outside the Premier League and English Football League. Currently, the majority of selected players are full-time professionals with National League clubs. Home matches are played at various League and non-league grounds around the country. Friendly matches are played with equivalent teams from other nations, and between 1979 and 2008, competed in the Four Nations Tournament each season, along with Scotland, Wales, and the full Gibraltar teams.
