Ryan Plackemeier
Ryan Steven Plackemeier (born March 5, 1984) is a former American football punter. He played college football for Wake Forest University, and earned unanimous All-American honors. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and also played professionally for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). Early years Plackemeier was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended Fallbrook Union High School in Fallbrook, California, and was a letterman in soccer and football. In soccer, he was a four-year letterman and was twice recognized as his team's most valuable player. In football, as a senior, he was a first team All-Avocado League selection and was named the ''North County Times'' Kicker of the Year. A punter (P) in gridiron football is a special teams player who receives the snap (gridiron football), snapped ball directly from the line of scrimmage and then Punt (gridiron football), punts (kicks) the football to the opposing team so as to limit any field position advantage. This generally happens on a fourth down in American football and a third down in Canadian football. Punters may also occasionally take part in fake punts in those same situations, when they forward pass, throw or rush (gridiron football), run the football instead of punting. The 2006 National Football League Draft, the 71st in league history, took place in New York City, New York, at Radio City Music Hall on April 29 and April 30, 2006. Mission Vista High School is a public, comprehensive, dual-magnet high school that is part of the Vista Unified School District and is located in Oceanside, California; it currently serves 1,725 students and has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) through 2025.. Josh Miller (born April 14, 1970) is a former American football punter and former football analyst. He played college football at the University of Arizona, and was a First-team All-American in 1992. He was signed by the Baltimore Stallions of the Canadian Football League as an undrafted free agent in 1994.
