Ryan Millar
Ryan Madsen Millar (born 22 January 1978) is an American volleyball player, a member of United States men's national volleyball team in 1998–2008, a participant of the Olympic Games (2000, 2004, 2008), 2008 Olympic Champion, three times NORCECA Champion. Personal life Millar was born in San Dimas, California. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2001. Career Millar played volleyball at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, from 1996-1999. In 1996, he was named the Volleyball Magazine National Freshman of the Year and was a Third-Team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). In 1999, he was named the MPSF Player of the Year and was a First Team American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American. In 1998, he finished second in the nation in blocks per game (2.02) en route to repeating as a First Team All-American. NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship
The NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation ( NORCECA). Since its introduction in 1969 the tournaments have been awarded every two years. United States Men's National Volleyball Team
The United States men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The team is governed by USA Volleyball. The team has won five Olympic medals, including three gold. History As the birthplace of volleyball, the United States founded the first association to regulate the sport. The United States Volleyball Association was formed in 1927, and was the founding member of FIVB in 1947. However, by the time of volleyball's international growth in the 1940s, the US was no longer a major power. They competed in the inaugural volleyball Olympic tournament in 1964. 2006 Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The 2006 Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup was the first edition of the annual men's volleyball tournament, played by seven countries from June 3 to June 12, 2006 in Tijuana and Mexicali, Mexico. Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup
The Men's Pan-American Volleyball Cup is a men's volleyball tournament organized by NORCECA. Initially, only NORCECA teams participated, but CSV teams have been invited since 2010. The event served as a qualifier for World League and the America's Cup. Now, the event serves as an America qualifier for the Pan American Games classification. The women have their own equivalent of the tournament, the Women's Pan-American Cup.
