Ryan Lindgren
Ryan Lindgren (born February 11, 1998) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was picked in the second round (49th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. He was acquired by the Rangers as part of the trade that sent Rick Nash to the Bruins. Playing career Lindgren is a defensive defenseman who plays physically. He was drafted by the Bruins with the 49th pick in the 2nd round of the 2016 Entry Draft, a pick they received in exchange for Johnny Boychuk. The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team at the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota. They are members of the Big Ten Conference and compete in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I ice hockey. The Golden Gophers have won five NCAA national championships, in 1974, 1976, 1979, 2002 and 2003. Charlie Lindgren (born December 18, 1993) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Lindgren began his junior career with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL in 2012–13. Lindgren played his college hockey at St. Cloud State University from 2013–14 to 2015–16. On March 30, 2016, Lindgren decided to forego his senior year at St. Cloud State and was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens to a two-year, two way contract. At the tail end of the 2015–16 season, Lindgren played in his first NHL game on April 7, 2016. The Canadiens won the game 4–2 against the Carolina Hurricanes. The IIHF U18 World Championship is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation for national under-18 ice hockey teams from around the world. The tournament is usually played in April and is organized according to a system similar to the Ice Hockey World Championships and the IIHF World Junior Championship. The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), or simply the "World Juniors" in ice hockey circles, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. It is traditionally held in late December, ending in early January. The tournament usually attracts the top hockey players in this age category. The main tournament features the top ten ranked hockey nations in the world, comprising the 'Top Division', from which a world champion is crowned.
