Ryan Horvath
Ryan Matthew Horvath (born August 4, 1983) is a former American football punter. He was signed by the Sentinels as a street free agent in 2009. He played college football at Drake. Early years Horvath attended Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas, and was a letterman in football, soccer, and golf. Horvath earned first-team Kansas Class 6A all-state honors as junior in 2000. He was a two-time first-team Eastern Kansas League and All-Sun County performer as junior and senior. Horvath owns school records for career PATs (70), career field goals (11), career punts (103), single-game field goals (three) and longest field goal (46 yards). College career As a freshman at Drake University in 2002, Horvath earned honorable mention honors on Football Gazette NCAA Division I-AA Mid-Major All-America team. Punter (American Football)
A punter (P) in gridiron football is a special teams player who receives the snap (gridiron football), snapped ball directly from the line of scrimmage and then Punt (gridiron football), punts (kicks) the football to the opposing team so as to limit any field position advantage. This generally happens on a fourth down in American football and a third down in Canadian football. Punters may also occasionally take part in fake punts in those same situations, when they forward pass, throw or rush (gridiron football), run the football instead of punting. The 2006 National Football League Draft, the 71st in league history, took place in New York City, New York, at Radio City Music Hall on April 29 and April 30, 2006. For the 27th consecutive year, the draft was telecast on ESPN and ESPN2, with additional coverage offered by ESPNU and, for the first time, by NFL Network. The United Football League (UFL) was a professional American football minor league based in the United States that began play in October 2009 and played four seasons, the final one being cut short in October 2012. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. Drake University is a private university in Des Moines, Iowa. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs, including professional programs in business, law, and pharmacy. Overland Park ( ) is the second-most populous city in the U.S. state of Kansas.
