Ryan Gaucher
Ryan Gaucher (born February 23, 1978) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Gaucher spent the majority of his career playing in the ECHL and in Europe. He was twice named into the ECHL First All-Star Team, in 2003 while with the Cincinnati Cyclones and in 2006 with the Alaska Aces where he also won the Kelly Cup. He moved to Europe in 2006, playing in the Austrian Hockey League for EHC Linz, the Metal Ligaen for SønderjyskE and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the Kassel Huskies The EC Kassel Huskies are a professional ice hockey club based in Kassel, Hessen, Germany. The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks were a professional ice hockey team based in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were members of the American Hockey League, and played their home games at the Cincinnati Gardens. Throughout their existence they were the primary minor league affiliate of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim of the National Hockey League, with a three-year shared affiliation with the Detroit Red Wings. History In 1997, the Baltimore Bandits franchise was losing money and accruing debts in Baltimore. Jerry Robinson, owner of the Cincinnati Gardens arena, purchased the Bandits franchise to play at the Gardens, replacing the previous hockey tenant, the Cincinnati Cyclones of the International Hockey League. The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim signed Cincinnati to a five-year affiliate agreement. Metal Ligaen is the premier league in Danish ice hockey. The league consists of 9 professional teams. The name of the league has changed many times, but is being sponsored by Dansk Metal and therefore got the name Metalligaen. History It is also known as Superisligaen or Eliteserien, which is the name used in the past and in times where no naming rights agreement is in place. On 1 January 2014 Danish Metal (Dansk Metal) became the sponsor of the Danish ice hockey league, which changed the name to Metal Ligaen, replacing the previous name AL-Bank Ligaen which was named for the sponsorship deal with the Danish bank Arbejdernes Landsbank.
