Ryan Benjamin (running Back)
Ryan Lamont Benjamin (born April 23, 1970) is a former American football running back who played one season with the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He first enrolled at the College of the Sequoias before transferring to the University of the Pacific. He attended Tulare Union High School in Tulare, California. Benjamin was also a member of the Shreveport Pirates of the Canadian Football League (CFL) and Memphis Pharaohs/Portland Forest Dragons of the Arena Football League (AFL). College career Benjamin first played college football for the College of the Sequoias Giants. He played for the Pacific Tigers of the University of the Pacific from 1990 to 1992. He earned Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors in 1991 and 1992. Benjamin led NCAA Division I-A in all-purpose yardage and became the first player in conference history to record 50 passes while rushing for at least 1,500 yards. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. Arena Football League
The Arena Football League (AFL) was a professional arena football league in the United States. It was founded in 1986, but played its first official games in the 1987 season, making it the third longest-running professional football league in North America after the Canadian Football League (CFL) and the National Football League (NFL) until the AFL closed in 2019. 1994 CFL Season
The 1994 CFL season is considered to be the 41st season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 37th Canadian Football League season. CFL news in 1994 Expansion The CFL admitted three more United States-based teams, to add to the Sacramento Gold Miners, who were introduced in 1993. The Las Vegas Posse, the Shreveport Pirates and the Baltimore CFLers made the league 12 teams in total, six in each division. The new teams started play in 1994, with Las Vegas joining the Sacramento Gold Miners in the West Division, and Baltimore and Shreveport joining the East Division.
