Ruta Panorámica
The ''Ruta Panorámica'' (Scenic Route), officially the ''Ruta Panorámica Luis Muñoz Marín'' (Luis Muñoz Marín Scenic Route), is a network of some 40 secondary roads which traverse the island of Puerto Rico from west to east along its '' Cordillera Central'' (Central Mountain Range). Maunabo barrio-pueblo is a barrio and the administrative center (seat) of Maunabo, a municipality of Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 317. As was customary in Spain, in Puerto Rico, the municipality has a barrio called ''pueblo'' which contains a central plaza, the municipal buildings (city hall), and a Catholic church. Fiestas patronales (patron saint festivals) are held in the central plaza every year. Description Historically, the barrio was divided into east and west with its eastern limit beginning at Puerto Rico Highway 3 in Quebrada Arenas, (at Kilometer 108.92) and its western limit beginning where Quebrada Arenas and Emajagua meet on PR-3, at (Kilometer 110.03). Guayabota
Guayabota is a barrio in the municipality of Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. Its population in 2010 was 3,124. History Puerto Rico was ceded by Spain in the aftermath of the Spanish–American War under the terms of the Treaty of Paris of 1898 and became an unincorporated territory of the United States. In 1899, the United States Department of War conducted a census of Puerto Rico finding that the population of Guayabota barrio was 904. Geography The area is prone to landslides and its infrastructure and bridges have often been destroyed by hurricanes, and even by heavy rainfall.
