Irina Volodymyrivna "Russya" Poryvai ( uk, Руся; born June 9, 1968) is a Ukrainian singer, and musician. She released her first song ''Don't stand by my window'' in 1989. Russya had Top 10 hits on the Ukrainian charts in the late 1980s, and through the early and mid 1990s. She is a two-time winner in category Best Female Artist of Ukraine in 1990 and 1991. Russya retired from recording pop music in 1997 but continued to tour (sometimes with her sister, Natasha Koroleva Natalia Vladimirovna Poryvay (russian: link=no, Ната́лия Влади́мировна Порыва́й; uk, Наталія Володимирівна Порива́й) (born 31 May 1973), well known as Natasha Korolyova (russian: link=no, ...) till 1999. Natalia Vladimirovna Poryvay (russian: link=no, Ната́лия Влади́мировна Порыва́й; uk, Наталія Володимирівна Порива́й) (born 31 May 1973), well known as Natasha Korolyova (russian: link=no, Наташа Королёва), is a Russian singer of popular music. She was named Meritorious Artist of Russia (2004). Early career Korolyova was born in Ukrainian capital Kyiv. She gave her first public performance in 1976, at the age of three, singing ''The Cruiser Aurora'' at the annual congress of the Komsomol. In 1985, at the age of 12, Korolyova recorded several songs including "World Without Miracles" and "Where Went the Circus", achieving popular success in Ukraine. In 1987, Korolyova won the Golden Kamerton music prize. From 1988 to 1991 she studied vocal performance at the Kyiv-pop circus school.
