Russian Premier League 2004
Following are the results of the 2004 Russian Premier League, the top division of Russian association football. Lokomotiv won their second Premier League title, while Krylya Sovetov finished in the top three for the first time, winning bronze. Kuban were relegated after just one season in the Premier League. They were joined by Rotor who played at the top level since the beginning of the Russian league. Teams As in the previous season, 16 teams are playing in the 2004 season. After the 2003 season, Chernomorets Novorossiysk and Uralan Elista were relegated to the 2004 Russian First Division. They were replaced by Amkar Perm and Kuban Krasnodar, the winners and runners up of the 2003 Russian First Division. Russian Premier League
The Russian Premier League (RPL; russian: Российская премьер-лига; РПЛ), also written as Russian Premier Liga, is the top division professional association football league in Russia. It was established at the end of 2001 as the Russian Football Premier League (RFPL; russian: Российская футбольная премьер-лига; РФПЛ) and was rebranded with its current name in 2018. From 1992 through 2001, the top level of the Russian football league system was the Russian Football Championship (russian: Чемпионат России по футболу, ''Chempionat Rossii po Futbolu''). There are 16 teams in the competition. As of the 2021/22 season, the league had two Champions League qualifying spots for the league winners and league runners-up, and two spots in the UEFA Conference League were allocated to the third- and fourth-placed teams. FC Amkar Perm
FC Amkar Perm (russian: link=no, Футбо́льный клуб "Амка́р" Пермь ) is a professional football club. Originally founded in 1994, it is based in the city of Perm. It was a participant in second-tier football from 1995 and in the Russian Premier League from 2004 to 2018, after which it was dissolved. Amkar's home stadium was the Zvezda Stadium. In August 2020, it was re-established by the Government of the Perm Krai as an amateur club, and became professional the following year. History 1994–1999. FC Torpedo Moscow
Football Club Torpedo Moscow (russian: link=no, ФК "Торпедо" Москва, ''FK Torpedo Moskva''), known as Torpedo Moscow, is a Russian professional football club based in Moscow that was founded in 1924 and returned to the Russian Premier League, the top tier of Russian football, for the 2022–23 season. Their colours are white and black, with green also commonly being associated with the club. They play their home games at Eduard Streltsov Stadium, but have been playing at Luzhniki Stadium since their home stadium began a reconstruction project in 2021. FC Saturn Ramenskoye
FC Saturn Ramenskoye (russian: Фк Сатурн Ра́менское) is a Russian football club, based in the town of Ramenskoye in Moscow Oblast. It is also sometimes referred to as FC Saturn Moscow Region (russian: Фк Сатурн Московской области, FK Saturn Moskovskaya Oblast). History The club was founded in 1946. Central Dynamo Stadium was a stadium in Moscow, Russia. It was built in 1928 and held 36,540 people. It was the home ground for Dynamo Moscow. It was central venue of the All-Soviet Dynamo sports society and carried special name of ''Central'' to denote its importance.
