Russian Men's Curling Cup
The Russian Men's Curling Cup () is an annual national curling tournament for men's curling teams in Russia. It has been held annually since the 2007–2008 season (usually in October, November, or December). It is organized by the Russian Curling Federation. As of 2021, the event consisted of sixteen teams participating in a preliminary round robin and a single-knockout playoff. Petr Dmitrievich Dron (; born 28 August 1985 in Saint Petersburg) is a Russian curler and curling coach. He lives in St. Petersburg. He competed at the 2013 World Curling Championships, and at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. He currently coaches the Russian men's junior team. Career Dron has been playing on curling competitions since 1996. He finished the Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health. Nationally, Dron won the Federation Cup of Russia (2010–2011), and thrice the Russian Men's Curling Championship (2007, 2011, 2013). He was a member of the Russian team at the 2013 World Men's Curling Championship and at the European Curling Championships in 2012 and 2013. Dmitry Mironov
Dmitry Andreyevich Mironov (; born October 22, 1992, in Chelyabinsk) is a Russian curler from Sochi. As a junior curler, Mironov played second for Team Russia at two World Junior Curling Championships on teams skipped by Evgeny Arkhipov. At the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, playing at home in Sochi, the team took home the silver medal. He again represented Russia at the 2014 World Junior Curling Championships, and the team placed 7th. Mironov represented Russia at the men's level for the first time at the 2019 World Men's Curling Championship, playing second on the team, which was skipped by Sergey Glukhov. Jason Gunnlaugson is a Canadian curler currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Gunnlaugson is known for having been hired by the Russian Curling Federation (RCF) to represent the country at the 2014 Winter Olympics. The deal which was announced in April 2010 fell through in November that year, when the Gunnlaugson team was fired by the RCF.
