Russ Karpisek (born July 20, 1966) is a politician from the U.S. state of Nebraska. He served in the Nebraska Legislature from 2007 to 2015. Early life and career Karpisek was born on July 20, 1966, in Friend, Nebraska, and graduated from Wilber-Clatonia High School in 1984. In 1989, he graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a B.S. in business administration. Jeanne Combs
Jeanne Combs (born 1955) is a politician from the U.S. state of Nebraska. She represented the 32nd District in the Nebraska Legislature from 2003 to 2007. Combs was born October 31, 1955, in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from New Miami High School in 1974. She graduated from Miami University of Ohio in nursing (1976) and Concordia University, Nebraska in health care administration (2000). She worked in many different nursing occupations and is a certified occupational hearing conservationist and health nurse specialist, and has won many nursing awards. Crete is a city in Saline County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 7,099 at the 2020 census. History The railroad was extended to the area in 1870, bringing settlers. In 1871, two rival towns merged to form a new town, which was named after Crete, Illinois, the former hometown of an early settler. Ernie Chambers
Ernest William Chambers (born July 10, 1937) is an American politician and civil rights activist who represented North Omaha's 11th District in the Nebraska State Legislature from 1971 to 2009 and again from 2013 to 2021. He could not run in 2020 due to term limits. Chambers is the longest-serving state senator in Nebraska history, having represented North Omaha for 46 years. For most of his career, Chambers was the only nonwhite senator. He is the only African-American to have run for governor and the first to have run for U.S. Senate in Nebraska history. Keno
Keno is a lottery-like gambling game often played at modern casinos, and also offered as a game in some lotteries. Players wager by choosing numbers ranging from 1 through (usually) 80. After all players make their wagers, 20 numbers (some variants draw fewer numbers) are drawn at random, either with a ball machine similar to ones used for lotteries and bingo, or with a random number generator.
