Ruslan Novoseltsev
Ruslan Novoseltsev (russian: Руслан Новосельцев, born 30 June 1974) is a Russian former competitive figure skater. He is the 1997 Figure skating at the Winter Universiade, Winter Universiade champion and 1995 Finlandia Trophy bronze medalist. After retiring from competition, Novoseltsev performed for the Imperial Ice Stars. He also works as a coach in Finland. Universiade Medalists In Figure Skating
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. The most recent games were held in 2019: the Winter Universiade was held in Krasnoyarsk, Russia while the Summer Universiade was held in Naples, Italy. Skate Israel ( he, סקייט ישראל) was a senior-level international figure skating competition, held in Metulla, Israel. Medals were awarded in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. First organized in 1995, Skate Israel was held annually through 2000. The 2002 competition was cancelled due to political uncertainty. The event returned in 2003 and was last held in 2005. Israeli skaters Galit Chait / Sergei Sakhnovsky, who competed in all eight editions, won the ice dance title six times. Alexei Mishin
Alexei Nikolayevich Mishin (russian: link=no, Алексей Николаевич Мишин; born 8 March 1941) is a Russian figure skating coach and former pair skater. With partner Tamara Moskvina, he is the 1969 World silver medalist and Soviet national champion. Mishin is based in Saint Petersburg at Yubileyny Sports Palace. His former students include Olympic champions Alexei Urmanov, Alexei Yagudin, and Evgeni Plushenko. Mishin also runs summer seminars. Among the skaters who have attended those are Stéphane Lambiel and Sarah Meier. He has authored several books on the biomechanics of figure skating.
