Rusi Kanda Poonai
''Rusi Kanda Poonai'' is a Tamil-language drama film directed by G. N. Rangarajan. The film stars Saritha, Sudhakar and M. R. R. Vasu. It was released on 25 December 1980. Plot ''Rusi Kanda Poonai'' is a gripping emotional story of Savithri and Ramesh, played by Saritha and Sudhakar respectively. Saritha and Sudhakar love each other and Ramesh promises her that he will marry Saritha. but later it is revealed that Sudhakar has already married and dejected, Saritha leaves the hostel run by Manorama and her Siddha expert husband Suruli Rajan, for her hometown. Panchanathan Arunachalam (22 March 1941 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian writer, director, producer and lyricist who worked in Tamil cinema. He was mentored by poet Kannadasan who was his uncle. He also worked as a lyricist in the Tamil cinema industry. He started producing films under his production banner named P. A. Arts. His son Subbu Panchu Arunachalam is an actor and dubbing artist in the Tamil film industry. Suruli Rajan was a Tamil film comedian/character artiste. He was a recipient of Tamil Nadu State Government's Best Comedian Award for the year 1981–82. Biography Suruli Rajan was born in 1938 in Periyakulam, near Theni. His father ''Ponnaiya Pillai'' worked as an accountant for farm owners of the adjoining areas in Theni.
