Rupert Gavin
Rupert Gavin (born 1 October 1954) is a British entrepreneur, businessman, and theatre impresario. Formerly CEO of BBC Worldwide and Odeon Cinemas as a producer/financier. He has produced/coproduced a series of plays and musicals through his company, Incidental Colman. Gavin serves as Chairman of Historic Royal Palaces and HMG Honours Committee for Arts and Media. Current roles In 2015 Gavin was appointed chairman of Historic Royal Palaces, the charity responsible for the management and conservation of the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kew Palace, and Hillsborough Castle. His tenure was extended for a second term in May 2018. He is executive chairman of the theatre production company Incidental Colman, which has produced/co-produced in the West End and on Broadway and won seventeen Olivier Awards. St Mary Abbots Hospital
St Mary Abbots Hospital was a hospital that operated from 1871 to 1992 at a site on Marloes Road in Kensington, London. History The hospital building, which was designed by Alfred Williams as a workhouse infirmary and built by John T. Chappell, was completed in 1871. It included a chapel dedicated to Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, whose foundation stone was laid on 17 April 1875 by Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll. The hospital facilities became known as the Kensington Infirmary in 1912 and as St Mary Abbots Hospital in 1923. The hospital was badly damaged during the London Blitz in 1940. Four people were killed and one of the blocks was destroyed, leaving an open bomb site within the hospital grounds. In 1944, a V-1 flying bomb directly hit the hospital site. The Worshipful Company of Grocers is one of the 110 Livery Companies of the City of London and ranks second in order of precedence. The Grocers' Company was established in 1345 for merchants occupied in the trade of grocer and is one of the Great Twelve City Livery Companies. Contemporary Art Society
The Contemporary Art Society (CAS) is an independent charity that champions the collecting of outstanding contemporary art and craft for UK museum collections. Since its founding in 1910 the organisation has donated over 10,000 works to museums across the UK. The National Film and Television School (NFTS) is a film, television and games school established in 1971 and based at Beaconsfield Studios in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England. It is featured in the 2021 ranking by ''The Hollywood Reporter'' of the top 15 International film schools. Its community of students makes around a hundred and fifty films a year on courses that are over 90% practical and unlike courses offered at other UK film schools. Wyevale Garden Centres (formerly The Garden Centre Group) was a British chain of garden centres. At its height, it was the largest garden centre operator in the United Kingdom, with 154 locations in England and Wales. It became the largest garden centre group by acquiring the Blooms of Bressingham chain in February 2007, and traded under both the Wyevale and Blooms names. It had acquired many smaller garden centre locations during its time, which also helped to allow it to reach its peak.
