Art Rupe
Arthur Newton Rupe (born Arthur Goldberg; September 5, 1917 – April 15, 2022) was an American music executive and record producer. He founded Specialty Records, known for its rhythm and blues, blues, gospel and early rock and roll music recordings, in Los Angeles in 1946. Early years Rupe was born Arthur Goldberg. He was born to a working-class Jewish family on September 5, 1917, in the Pittsburgh suburb of Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Rupe grew up in the nearby suburb of McKeesport. His father was a factory worker who had immigrated from Galicia, and his mother was a housewife born in Pittsburgh. As a boy, he listened to music sung at a local black Baptist church. Carmen Rupe (10 October 1936 – 14 December 2011), was a New Zealand drag performer, brothel keeper, anti-discrimination activist, would-be politician and HIV/AIDS activist. Carmen Rupe was New Zealand's first drag queen to reach celebrity status. She was a trans woman. Life Born in Taumarunui, Rupe had twelve siblings. Eric Rupe
Eric Fitzgerald Rupe (born June 14, 1963) is an American professional bicycle motocross (BMX) racer. His prime competitive years were from 1978 to 1990. Considered one of the most underrated BMXers in its history, he also had one of the longest careers in BMX. He nominally retired from Senior pro racing after the 1990 American Bicycle Association Grand National but would go on to participate in Pro BMX competition on a serious basis for another 11 years, albeit in Masters/Veteran pro class, the class for racers past their peak competitive years, much like the Champions Tour (formally called the Senior PGA Tour) in golf. Johan Hermann Wilhelm Rupe (October 9, 1866, in Basel – January 12, 1951) was a professor of organic chemistry at the University of Basel. His main field of interest was terpenes and campher as well as optical activity. Life Rupe was born on October 9, 1866 in Basel to Johannes Rupe and Mathilde Rupe (born Fischer) and went to school in Basel. He passed his Maturität in 1885 and then went on to study in Basel under Julius Piccard. He continued his studies at the University of Strasbourg under Rudolf Fittig and then in 1887 in Munich under Adolf von Baeyer. Rupe received his PhD in 1889 at Munich for his dissertation ''Über die Reduktionsprodukte der Dichloromuconsäure''. In 1894 he went to Mulhouse to become head of the "Chemieschule" in the organic division. Rupe habilitated in 1895 in Basel, where he moved in 1899. Joshua Matthew Rupe (born August 18, 1982) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and Baltimore Orioles. Career Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 3rd round of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft out of Louisburg College, Rupe was acquired by the Texas Rangers (baseball), Texas Rangers along with Frank Francisco and minor leaguer Anthony Webster to complete an earlier trade for Carl Everett in July 2003. Ryan Rupe
Ryan Kittman Rupe (born March 31, 1975) is a former right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. Rupe played in the majors for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Boston Red Sox. Rupe made his major league debut in 1999 for the Devil Rays, pitching in 24 starts while finishing with an 8-9 record. He was the first player drafted by the team to make the majors. The following season, Rupe had a horrendous season while battling with knee problems. Rupe finished the 2000 season with an ERA of 6.92, 75 runs allowed in 91 innings and 19 home runs allowed in just 18 starts. In 2001, Rupe managed to pitch in 28 games (26 starts) for the Devil Rays but with awful numbers. In 143.1 innings, he allowed 30 home runs and 111 runs to go along with a record of 5-12.
