Runway (2004 Film)
''Runway'' is a 2004 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film directed by Joshiy and written by Udayakrishna and Siby K. Thomas. It stars Dileep, Indrajith Sukumaran, Murali, Harisree Ashokan, and Kavya Madhavan. The film revolves around Unni (Dileep) who due to financial problems becomes the renowned smuggler, Valayar Paramasivam, in the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border check-post, Walayar. He works for a mafia king-pin Bhai ( Murali). Plot The film begins when Gopika and her father move into a house where Bharathiyamma stays with her two children, Balu Damodar and Ambili. Bharathiyamma has one more elder son Unni Damodar who works in Dubai. Unni tells his family that he is working in Gulf but in reality he runs illegal spirit business with Chandy Bhai along with Achayan and Achuvettan in Valayar. Joshiy
Joshiy (born 18 July 1952) is an Indian film director and producer from Varkala in Kerala who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut with ''Tiger Salim'' (1978) and has directed over 80 films. He has also directed a few Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. In the beginning of his career, he received national fame when he directed '' Dharm Aur Qanoon'' (1984) starring Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra, with Khanna in double roles.
