Runnymede Station
Runnymede is a subway station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located just north of Bloor Street West, spanning the block east of Runnymede Road to Kennedy Avenue, with bus platforms at the surface level and entrances at both ends. Wi-Fi service is available at this station. History The station opened in 1968 as part of the westerly extension of the subway line from Keele to Islington station. Extensive rehabilitation of the concrete station structure was undertaken in 2010. This work involved replacing the concrete slab and columns of the bus platform, and the bus driveway structural paving. Installation of three elevators to make the station fully accessible commenced in late November 2018. The construction took two years to complete. Bloor West Village is a family-friendly residential neighbourhood and vibrant shopping district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Queensway
The Queensway (or Queensway) is a major street in the municipalities of Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is a western continuation of Queen Street, after it crosses Roncesvalles Avenue and King Street in Toronto. The Queensway is a divided roadway from Roncevalles westerly until 600 metres of the South Kingsway (accessed by ramps) with its centre median dedicated to streetcar service. The road continues undivided west from there to Etobicoke Creek as a four- or six-lane thoroughfare. After crossing the creek, it enters Mississauga under Peel Region jurisdiction as Peel Regional Road 20, as far west as Mavis Road, with the westernmost portion to Glengarry Road being maintained by the city. Lawrence Avenue is a major east-west thoroughfare in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is divided into east and west portions (Lawrence Avenue East and Lawrence Avenue West) by Yonge Street, the dividing line of east-west streets in Toronto. Western Technical-Commercial School is a high school in the High Park North neighbourhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada oversighted by the Toronto District School Board. It shares the same building with Ursula Franklin Academy and The Student School. The school was founded in 1927 and was part of the Toronto Board of Education until 1998. Runnymede Theatre
The Runnymede Theatre is a historic building located in Bloor West Village, an affluent west end Toronto neighbourhood. The building has operated as a vaudeville theatre, a movie theatre, a bingo hall, and a Chapters (bookstore), Chapters bookstore. The building is now a Shoppers Drug Mart. History Commonly known as the "Runny", the Runnymede was built by the Capitol (later Cineplex Entertainment, Famous Players) as an atmospheric vaudeville theatre, the first of this type in Toronto. High Park is a subway station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth of the Toronto subway in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located just north of Bloor Street West, spanning the block east of Quebec Avenue to High Park Avenue. It opened in 1968 as part of the westerly extension from to Islington station. Elicser Elliott
Jabari "Elicser" Elliott is a visual-artist based in Toronto, Ontario. Early life and education While Elliott was born in Montreal, he spent his formative years living in Saint Vincent. Elliott helped his mother recreate costumes for the local carnival with which his father was heavily involved. Upon his family's return to Canada, Elliott was introduced to street art while studying at the Etobicoke School of the Arts. His high school's guidance counsellor directed him to Sheridan College's program in Animation and affirmed for the young artist the possibilities of a career in the arts.
