Runaway Island (2015 Film)
''Runaway Island'' is a 2015 romantic drama film directed by Dianne Houston, written by Christopher Brandt, and starring Lorraine Toussaint, Aisha Hinds and Thomas Q. Jones. It tells the story of senator's widow Naomi Holloway (played by Toussaint), who comes to risk a second chance at love with a younger man. ''Runaway Island'' was filmed during spring of 2015. Dianne Houston
Dianne Houston is an African-American film director, producer and screenwriter. She is the first, and thus far only, African-American woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for work she directed. Early life Dianne Houston was born on July 22, 1954, to Jack, an Army psychologist, and Edith, a schoolteacher. She grew up in the Lamond Riggs neighborhood of Washington, D.C. She attended Woodrow Wilson High School, and was also a student at the Workshops for Careers in the Arts on the campus of George Washington University. When she was 16, she moved to New York City to become an actress. However, frustrated by the lack and caliber of roles for black women, she decided to write her own plays. Lorraine Toussaint
Lorraine Toussaint () is a Trinidadian-American actress. She is the recipient of various accolades, including a Black Reel Award, a Critics' Choice Television Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Thomas Jones (American Football)
Thomas Quinn Jones (born August 19, 1978) is an American actor and a former American football running back who played 12 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Virginia. He was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals seventh overall in the 2000 NFL Draft, and played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in addition to the New York Jets, Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs.
