Run (also known as Pulau Run, Pulo Run, Puloroon, or Rhun – ''pulau'' is "island" in Indonesian) is one of the smallest islands of the Banda Islands, which are a part of the Moluccas, Indonesia. It is located within Banda District (''kecamatan'') in Central Maluku Regency. In 1616, fearing the Dutch, the natives of the island pledged their allegiance to the employees of English East India Company, who accepted it on behalf of the Crown. According to historian John Keay who considers Pulo Run as the genesis of the British Empire: "As the island of Runnymede is to British constitutional history, so the island of Run is to British imperial history". ''Run'' is a 2020 American psychological horror thriller film directed by Aneesh Chaganty and written by Chaganty and Sev Ohanian. The film stars Kiera Allen as Chloe Sherman, a disabled homeschooled teenager who begins to suspect that her mother Diane (Sarah Paulson) is keeping a dark secret about her upbringing. The film was announced in June 2018, with Paulson being cast that October and Allen that December. Principal photography also occurred in that time frame, with filming primarily taking place on location in Winnipeg, Manitoba. ''Run'' was released on November 20, 2020, by Hulu, theatrically in other territories by Lionsgate, and was released internationally on April 2, 2021, by Netflix. is the eighteenth single by Japanese rock band Luna Sea, released on November 13, 2013. It reached number 17 on the Oricon chart and number 24 on ''Billboard''s Japan Hot 100. Overview "Ran" was written by lead guitarist Sugizo, who stated the melody just "popped" into his head and who believes the song has a "nostalgic 90's melody." It was used as the theme song to the television drama , and is also the band's first single with a Japanese title. The version that appears on the album ''A Will'' has a slightly different intro than the single cut. The B-side "Echo" is one of the few Luna Sea songs originally written by drummer Shinya, whom came up with one of the drum phrases while drunk. Nine Mile (band)
Nine Mile was a Canadian indie rock band, based in Toronto. Founded in 2001, original members included: D'Ari Pouyat (vocals & guitar), Trevor Norris (Vocals & Guitar), Joshua Cowan (drums) and Dave Matthews (bass & vocals). The founding members only recorded one album together entitled "Run". During the recording of this album, percussionist Dave Tolley was hired as a session musician to play hand percussion. Tolley became a permanent member of the group shortly thereafter. The original line-up performed frequently for 2 years, embarked on only one Canadian national tour, before dissolving. Trevor Norris, Josh Cowan, and Dave Matthews all left the band amicabley. Shortly thereafter, Tolley moved to Boston to study at the renowned Berklee College of Music. Eric Robert Walters, (born March 3, 1957) is a Canadian author of young adult fiction and picture books. As of 2020, Eric Walters has written over 100 books. Background Walters was an elementary school teacher at Vista Heights Public School in Streetsville, Ontario. In 1993, he was teaching a grade 5 class in which many of the students were reluctant readers and writers. To encourage them, Walters wrote his first novel, ''Stand Your Ground''. The novel was set in the school and included features from the community and the names of many of his students. He has since written more than 70 novels for young adults.
