Rumen Petkov
Rumen Petkov ( bg, Румен Петков; 26 January 1948 – 10 June 2018) was a Bulgarian animator, painter and comic creator. He is best remembered for his animated series ''Choko the Stork and Boko the Frog'', which he also adapted into a comic strip. His influence spawned a new generation of young Bulgarian comics artists, such as Vladimir Nedialkov, Koko Sarkisian, Ivan Kirjakov, Sten Damyanov, and others. Career Petkov was one of the main artists of the comics magazine '' Duga'' ("''Rainbow''"), which was the most popular comics magazine for several generations of Bulgarian children. His series '' The Adventures of Choko the Stork and Boko the Frog'' was popular in Bulgaria during the 1970s and 1980s. Other famous animated films he directed are ''Friends of Gosho the Elephant'', ''Treasure Planet'', etc. He won the Grand Prize at the Ottawa Animation Festival and the Palme d'Or for ''Best Short'' at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival. Dnevnik (Bulgarian Newspaper)
''Dnevnik'' ( bg, Дневник) is a business-oriented Bulgarian daily newspaper, that is published Monday - Friday in Sofia since 2001. Until early 2005, it was printed in broadsheet format, the last Bulgarian daily to use the large format. It adopted a compact format after research in 2005 found that more than 50% of the readers would prefer a smaller, thicker paper. Dnevnik's main editorial line is that the state should intervene less, and that business should have more freedom. Like the influential business and politics weekly ''Capital'', it is published by Sofia-based Economedia. German publishing group Georg von Holtzbrinck Publishing Group was the owner of a 50 per cent stake in Economedia, but the Bulgarian owners of Economedia bought the shares back in November 2007. ''It's Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown'' is the 27th prime-time animated musical television special based upon the comic strip ''Peanuts,'' by Charles M. Schulz. It originally aired on the CBS network on Monday, April 16, 1984. The special is presented as an original musical which features parodies of the early 1980s breakdancing craze, MTV, the films '' Saturday Night Fever'', ''Flashdance'' and ''Footloose'', and a number of popular top 40 hit songs of the early 1980s. The program takes the form of a musical, presenting a series of different vignettes instead of a strong unifying plot. ''Mike, Lu & Og'' is an American-Russian animated television series created by Mikhail Shindel, Mikhail Aldashin, and Charles Swenson for Cartoon Network, and the 7th of the network's Cartoon Cartoons.
