Rumbek ( ar, رمبك) is the capital of Lakes State, central South Sudan, and the former capital of the country. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Rumbek ( la, Rumbekensis) is a diocese in Rumbek in the Ecclesiastical province of Juba in South Sudan. Geography The Diocese of Rumbek is located in the heart of the Republic of South Sudan. Geography The East Sudanian savanna is the eastern half of the Sudanian savanna belt which runs east and west across Africa. Wau (Arabic: واو ''Wāw''; also known as Wow, Waw, or Wau Town) is a city in northwestern South Sudan, on the western bank of the Jur River, that serves as capital for Western Bahr el Ghazal (and formerly Wau State).
