Rule Independent School District is a public school district based in Rule, Texas (USA). Located in western Haskell County, a small portion of the district extends into Stonewall County. Rule ISD has one school Rule School that serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve. The superintendent is Kent Lefevre. The principal is Paul Harris. In 2009, the school district was rated " academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. Rule is a town in Haskell County, Texas, United States. The population was 636 at the 2010 census, down from 698 at the 2000 census. The community was named for W. A. Rule, a railroad man. Geography Rule is in western Haskell County at the intersection of U.S. Route 380 and Texas State Highway 6. US 380 leads east to Haskell, the county seat, and west to Old Glory, while Highway 6 leads north to Rochester and south to Stamford. Stonewall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,245. Its county seat is Aspermont. The county was created in 1876 and organized in 1888. It is named for Stonewall Jackson, a general of the Confederate States Army.
