Rugby Club Cannes Mandelieu
The Rugby Club Cannes Mandelieu is a French rugby union club, based in Cannes and in Mandelieu-la-Napoule. History In 1993, the club was admitted to Group A of the French rugby union championship première division. However, after just one season, the club was relegated to a lower division. After the 2005–2006 season, the club was relegated to the Fédérale 2, and a year later to the Fédérale 3. In 2008, they won the Fédérale 3 division title, returning to the Fédérale 2, remaining there only for one season. Mandelieu-la-Napoule (; oc, Mandaluec la Napola; locally spelled Mandelieu-La Napoule) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. Located on the French Riviera, just to the southwest of Cannes and northeast of Théoule-sur-Mer, it had a population of 22,452 in 2017. In the 20th century, Henry Clews Jr (son of the wealthy New York banker Henry Clews) and his wife Marie Clews, entirely renovated the château which they then inhabited. The Top 14 () is a professional rugby union club competition that is played in France. Created in 1892, the Top 14 is at the top of the national league system operated by the French National Rugby League, also known by its French initialism of LNR. There is promotion and relegation between the Top 14 and the next level down, the Rugby Pro D2. The fourteen best rugby teams in France participate in the competition, hence the name Top 14. John Herman
John Frederick Herman (April 11, 1889 – February 1950) was a farmer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Melville from 1938 to 1944 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Social Credit member. He was born in Bradford, Ontario, the son of Frederick William Herman and Sarah Etta Roach, and was educated in Severn Bridge, Ontario, in Moosomin, Saskatchewan and in Regina. Herman taught school in Saskatchewan for several years. In 1922, he married Eva Chilcott. Franck Montanella (born 26 March 1982) is a French rugby union footballer. He played for FC Auch in the 2006-07 Pro Rugby D2, which Auch won. His usual position is as a prop. He was also included in France's mid-year Test squad for 2007 in the two-game series against the All Blacks in New Zealand.
