Rudy Niswanger
Rudolph Nelson Niswanger ( ; born November 9, 1982) is a former American football center. He was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He played college football at Louisiana State. Early years He is a native of Monroe, Louisiana, where he attended Ouachita Christian High School. He led his team to a 2A State Championship title in Football. College career During his college career, he started at least one game in every offensive line position. As a senior, he was team captain and was elected as Second-team All-SEC. Professional career Kansas City Chiefs In 2006 season, Rudy signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in five games at two different positions - guard and on special teams - in his first season. During the 2007 season, Niswanger appeared in 12 games, including five games as a reserve guard. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. Guard (American Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through. Michael Jason Goff (born January 6, 1976) is a former American football Guard (American football), guard and coach. He currently serves as an Offensive Line coach at San Diego State. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He played college football at Iowa Hawkeyes football, Iowa. Early years Goff is a 1994 graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School in LaSalle, Illinois. The 2008 season was the Kansas City Chiefs' 39th in the National Football League (NFL), their 49th overall, and their third and final season under head coach Herm Edwards at the helm. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured.
