Rudraveena (teleserial)
''Rudraveena'' or ''Rudraveenai'' is a Tamil mystery-suspense television series directed by Rakesh Sinha. It is an adaptation of Indra Soundar Rajan's book of the same name. From 21 April 2002 to 22 February 2004, the series broadcast 106 episodes on Sun TV on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. local time. ''Rudraveena'' replaced another mystery-suspense series in its time slot called ''Thandhira Bhoomi''. This series was remade in Malayalam bearing the same name, but with significant changes to the story. However, the past segment with Baba was dubbed from the Tamil version. Sampath Ram
Sampath Ram is an Indian actor who works primarily in Tamil-language films. He is known for his villainous roles. Career Ram started his acting career with the television series '' Ethanai Manithargal'' that aired on Doordarshan as a thug. He made his film debut with ''Mudhalvan'' (1999), where he played a sub-inspector of police. The film, however, failed to provide the actor a major break. Ram survived a head injury while shooting for ''Dheena'' (2001). After ''Dheena'', he starred in several films as a thug. ''Chidambara Ragasiyam'' () is an Indian Tamil-language suspense series directed by Naga and produced by Anil Mishr and P.K. Tiwari. This show replaced Rudhraveenai on Wednesdays at 8:30 pm. It aired in Sun TV during the years 2004–2006. This was a successful series. It revolved around the practice of "Nadi astrology", a very popular belief in Tamil Nadu and widely practiced around Vaitheeswaran Koil area near Chidambaram.The last episode was aired on Sunday, 23 July 2006 at 7.30pm.
