Rudraksh (film)
Rudraksh is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language science fiction action film directed by Mani Shankar. cinematography by T. Surendra Reddy starring Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu and Isha Koppikar. The film has many references to epic poem Ramayana ("The Path of Rāma"). The film released on 13 February 2004 to a negative response by critics and was declared a disaster at the box office. Plot Dr. Gayatri (Bipasha Basu) is an Indian American paranormal researcher at University of California, researching esoteric practices such as voodoo, spirit possession, magic and healing powers. She seeks the hidden knowledge that goes into such practices, the knowledge that cannot be explained by science or logic. Her search for answers brings her and her team of scientists to India. Mani Shankar
Mani Shankar is a Bollywood film director, holographic technology expert, writer and speaker. He is best known for introducing computer-generated imagery to India, and for designing the world's first holographic political campaign, which he designed for Narendra Modi during the 2012 Gujarat Legislative Assembly election. ''Rudraksha'' (IAST: ') refers to a stonefruit, the dried stones of which are used as prayer beads by Hindus (especially Shaivas), as well as by Buddhists and Sikhs. When they are ripe, ''rudraksha'' stones are covered by an inedible blue outer fruit so they are sometimes called "blueberry beads". Shweta Pandit (born 7 July 1986) is an Indian singer and actress from Bollywood. She is the grand-niece of Indian classical vocalist and Padma Vibhushan awardee, Pandit Jasraj. Shankar Mahadevan (born 3 March 1967) is an Indian singer and composer who is part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio that writes music for Indian films. Mahalakshmi Iyer is an Indian playback singer, best known for her Hindi, Assamese and Tamil songs.
