Rudon Bastian
Rudon Bastian (born 13 January 1987) is a retired Bahamian long jumper. As a junior he finished eleventh at the 2006 World Junior Championships, won the silver medal at the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships, and finished ninth at the 2008 NACAC Under-23 Championships. He won the bronze medal at the 2009 Central American and Caribbean Championships, finished fourth at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games, seventh at the 2011 Pan American Games The 2011 Pan American Games, officially the XVI Pan American Games, was an international multi-sport event that was held from October 14–30, 2011, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". This event has a history in the ancient Olympic Games and has been a modern Olympic event for men since the first Olympics in 1896 and for women since 1948. The 17th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad, between 14–16 July 2006, and organized by the National Amateur Athletic Association of Trinidad & Tobago (NAAATT).
