Rudel Obreja
Rudel Obreja (6 August 1965 – 12 March 2023) was a Romanian boxer and businessman. He competed in the men's welterweight event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Obreja also won four national senior titles, a bronze medal at the 1989 World Amateur Boxing Championships and a silver medal at the European Amateur Boxing Championships. He was the president of the Romanian Boxing Federation between 2004 and 2012. 1984 Summer Olympics
The 1984 Summer Olympics (officially the Games of the XXIII Olympiad and also known as Los Angeles 1984) were an international multi-sport event held from July 28 to August 12, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States. It marked the second time that Los Angeles had hosted the Games, the first being in 1932. California was the home state of the incumbent U.S. President Ronald Reagan, who officially opened the Games. Galați (, , ; also known by other alternative names) is the capital city of Galați County in the historical region of Western Moldavia, in eastern Romania. Galați is a port town on the Danube River.
