Sint Willebrord
Sint Willebrord is a town in the municipality of Rucphen in the Netherlands. It is also known by the name 't Heike which was the semi-official name up until 1950/1970 (mostly written as Theike, or less often Heike), which is the diminutive form of ''hei'' (''heath'') in local dialect. This town was formed on the former boundary between the "Baronie of Breda" and "Het Markizaat of Bergen op Zoom". Sint Willebrord is the largest of the five towns in the municipality of Rucphen. Zegge
Zegge is a village located in the municipality of Rucphen, North Brabant in the Netherlands. On 1 January 2020, the village had 2,045 inhabitants. Viewed from the four other villages in the municipality of Rucphen, Zegge is located on the other side of the A58 motorway. This combined with its small size, makes it so that much of the daily life of its inhabitants centers around the nearby city of Roosendaal. Etymology The name ''Zegge'' comes from low-lying and often submerged pasture, where a lot of sedge (zegge in Dutch) occurs and also reed grass that is popularly referred to as zegge. The village "Zegge" is not the same as (the adjacent) " Seppe". This is an airport that was officially named Breda International Airport in 2014, but is still popularly called Seppe. Zundert
Zundert () is a municipality and town in the south of the Netherlands bordering Belgium, in the province of North Brabant. Zundert is the birthplace of post-impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. History The name of Zundert is first mentioned in a certificate dating from 1157, in which the Bishop of Liege confirms a donation from the place "Sunderda". This Sunderda actually relates to the current settlement of Klein-Zundert (Dutch for Small Zundert), one of the first settlements in the area. The local monks, besides their religious labour, were also involved in clearing the land, that was still rough territory, filled with swamps, peats and heath fields. The monks also assisted in improving agricultural methods. Sprundel
Sprundel is a village in the southern Netherlands, in the Rucphen municipality. In the past it was the main village of the region, with roads to Roosendaal to the west, Breda to the east, Rotterdam to the north and Antwerp to the south. The village was first mentioned in 1282 as "Hermano filio Nekers de Sprundele". The etymology is unknown. Sprundel developed in the Middle Ages on a stream ridge. Dingeman Jacobus Johannes "Dick" Jaspers (pronounced yas-pers) (born 23 July 1965) is a Dutch professional carom billiards player who specializes in the three-cushion event. Early life Jaspers started playing billiards when he was three years old in the pub his parents ran in his home town. Between 1974 and 1980 he participated in the Dutch Youth Championships before making the move to the senior level. In this period he got lessons from Andre Gulickx and Tony Schrauwen Professional career Jaspers became a professional billiard player in 1986 after seeing Raymond Ceulemans and Nobuaki Kobayashi on live television during their World Cup final in Valkenburg.
