Giovanni Battista Rubini
Giovanni Battista Rubini (7 April 1794 – 3 March 1854) was an Italian tenor, as famous in his time as Enrico Caruso in a later day. His ringing and expressive coloratura dexterity in the highest register of his voice, the ''tenorino'', inspired the writing of operatic roles which today are almost impossible to cast. As a singer Rubini was the major early exponent of the Romantic style of the ''bel canto'' era of Vincenzo Bellini and Gaetano Donizetti. Rubini is remembered as an extraordinary bel canto singer, one of the most famous in Europe in the 1820s to 1840s. He also popularized the use of a pervasive vibrato as a means of heightening the emotional impact of his operatic performances. Michel Rubini (born December 3, 1942) is an American musician, conductor, arranger, producer, songwriter and composer. A professional classical pianist since early childhood, he was a prolific session musician of the 1960s and '70s, part of a group known as " The Wrecking Crew", and worked with such artists Ray Charles, Frank Zappa, Sonny and Cher and Barbra Streisand. He has also written several film scores, notably for Tony Scott's ''The Hunger'' (1983) and Michael Mann's ''Manhunter'' (1986), and the television series ''Capitol'' (1982-87) and ''The Hitchhiker'' (1984-87). Olinto Sampaio Rubini commonly known as Rubini (1934 – 18 September 2012) was a professional footballer who played in the Campeonato Paulista and Mexican Primera División. Career Born in Porto Feliz, Rubini played as a center forward. He began his career with local side Atlético Ituano, helping the club with the Campeonato Paulista Série A3 title in 1954 and 1955. Rubini signed with Paulista second division side Esporte Clube São Bento in 1957. In the summer of 1961, Rubini played with Toronto Roma of the National Soccer League. Rubini was instrumental in having Toronto Roma win the league championship. He moved to Mexico where he would play in the Primera División for nearly a decade. Giambattista Rubini
Giambattista Rubini (1642 – 17 February 1707) was a cardinal of the Catholic Church from 1690 to 1707. Early life and career Giambattista Rubini was born in Venice in 1642, the second son of Donato Rubini and Cristina Medici. His grandmother, Cristina Ottoboni, was the sister of Pope Alexander VIII. He was educated at the University of Padua, becoming a doctor of both laws. He became a canon of Padua Cathedral at an early age. After law school, he moved to Rome to become Referendary of the Apostolic Signatura. He later became governor of the cities of Fabriano, Spoleto, Frosinone, Viterbo, and Macerata. He then went on to be governor of the Campagne and Maritime Province, Umbria, and the March of Ancona. Sergio Rubini (born 21 December 1959) is an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. Life and career Rubini was born in Grumo Appula, Apulia, but soon moved to Rome to study acting. After some roles in theater, he debuted in a feature film with ''Figlio mio infinitamente caro'' (1985), which was followed by ''Desiderando Giulia'' and ''Il caso Moro''. Gabriele Rubini (born 29 June 1983 in Frascati, Italy), known professionally as Chef Rubio, is a former semi-professional Italian rugby player and television presenter for DMAX. Sporting career Born in Frascati, he is the brother of professional rugby player Giulio Rubini. Gabriele played rugby from an early age, after making his debut in 2002 for Rugby Roma Olimpic against Parma; he became an athlete of national status, so that the Italian Rugby Federation delayed his transfer to the following season.
