Rubber Duckie (band)
Rubber Duckie is South Korean all-female indie rock band. The band was formed originally in 2004 in Bucheon, but went on hiatus a year later. The band returned to perform in Hongdae, Seoul in late 2009. They were featured on Arirang Radio's program "Music180 - Musician Search" in July 2010 and in the episode "Breaking Down Our Prejudice" of Arirang TV's program "Rock on Korea" in July 2013. In June 2013 Rubber Duckie collaborated on stage with another all-female indie rock band Swingz and formed project group "Walking After U Walking After U is a South Korean female rock quartet based in Seoul, South Korea, that was formed in 2014 as a merger of Rubber Duckie and Swingz. Bucheon
Bucheon () is a administrative divisions of South Korea, city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Bucheon is located away from Seoul, of which it is a satellite town, satellite city. It is located between Incheon and Seoul. Bucheon is the second most densely populated city in South Korea after Seoul, and as a result, administrative districts were abolished in July 2016 in favor of providing greater public service in community centers. Major manufacturing operations are located in the northern areas of the city, while the areas in the south where Seoul Subway Line 7 and Seoul Subway Line 1 pass are dense commercial and residential areas. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Swingz is South Korean indie rock duo originally formed as a trio in Daegu, South Korea. They were featured in episode "Breaking Down Our Prejudice" of Arirang TV's program "Rock on Korea" in July 2013. Walking After U is a South Korean female rock quartet based in Seoul, South Korea, that was formed in 2014 as a merger of Rubber Duckie and Swingz. Hongdae () is a neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea near Hongik University, after which it is named. It is known for its urban arts and indie music culture, local shops, clubs and entertainment. South Korean Indie Rock Groups
