RuPaul's Drag Race Season 11
The eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' aired on VH1 from February 28, 2019, to May 30, 2019. The cast featured fourteen new queens and one returning queen, making it the largest cast of the series at the time; the contestants were announced in a live stream hosted by season 10 winner Aquaria and Adam Rippon on January 24, 2019. The winner of the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' was Yvie Oddly, with Brooke Lynn Hytes being the runner-up, and Nina West being Miss Congeniality. Season 10 contestant Vanessa Vanjie Mateo returned to the competition by popular demands, placing 5th. At the time of release Season 11 featured the largest cast in the franchise, with fifteen queens competing. This was later outcompeted by Season 15, with sixteen queens competing. RuPaul Andre Charles (born November 17, 1960; stylized as RuPaul) is an American drag queen, television personality, actor, musician, and model. Jacob James Grady (born February 26, 1992), better known by the stage name Scarlet Envy, is an American drag queen, reality television personality, singer, and performer who came to international attention on the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Early life James was raised in Louisville, Kentucky, by two mothers, both named Sherri. During childhood, he ran cross country for 12 years. In 2014, he graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in advertising design. Benni Miller (born Bennie Roy Miller; December 31, 1984), better known by the stage name Ra'Jah O'Hara, is an American drag queen best known for competing on the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' in 2019 and the sixth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars'' in 2021 finishing as a runner-up. Shuga Cain is the stage name of Jesus Martinez (born November 20, 1977), an American drag queen and baker who came to international attention on the eleventh season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Early life Martinez was born in Oakland, California and as a child moved to Northern California, where he grew up in a predominantly caucasian neighborhood. His father was Salvadoran, and his mother was Apache with Spanish ancestry.
