Rozelle Interchange
The Rozelle Interchange is an under-construction underground motorway interchange in Sydney, Australia. It is being built as part of WestConnex and is expected to open in late 2023. The interchange also includes a toll-free bypass of the Victoria Road between the Iron Cove Bridge and the Anzac Bridge known as the Iron Cove Link. The interchange is located at the site of the former Rozelle Rail Yards. It is one of the most complex underground junctions in the world and consists of three storeys of tunnels, with the deepest being below ground. The interchange will also be the southern terminus of the proposed Western Harbour Tunnel. Stub tunnels for the new tunnel have been built during the construction of the interchange. The John Holland Group is an infrastructure, building, rail and transport business operating in Australia and New Zealand. WestConnex
WestConnex is a predominantly underground motorway scheme in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. As of 2022, it is partially completed and partially still under construction. A joint project of the New South Wales and Australian governments, the motorway scheme is creating around of new tunnels between Homebush and Kingsgrove, passing underneath Inner West suburbs including Haberfield and St Peters. The first of the tunnels, the M4 East, opened to traffic in July 2019. The second of the tunnels, the M8 Motorway, opened to traffic a year later in July 2020. The rest of the tunnels are expected to open to traffic in 2023. The forecast cost of WestConnex has grown from 10 billion to over $16.8 billion. Rozelle Yard
Rozelle Yard was a goods railway yard in Rozelle, New South Wales, Australia. It was one of two major yards on the Metropolitan Goods line, the other being in Darling Harbour. Since heavy rail traffic ceased, part of the site has been redeveloped into a light rail depot and maintenance facility. The site of the former yard is currently being redeveloped into the Rozelle Interchange.
