Roysambu Constituency
Roysambu Constituency is an electoral constituency in Nairobi. It is one of seventeen constituencies in Nairobi City County. It was created prior to the 2013 general election, when Kasarani Constituency was divided into three constituencies: Kasarani, Roysambu and Ruaraka. It borders Mathare Constituency to the south, Ruaraka and Kasarani constituencies to the east, Ruiru constituency to the north and northeast, Kiambu constituency to the northwest and Westlands constituency to the west. It is the northmost constituency in Nairobi with an area of . It contains neighbourhoods such as Garden Estate, Thome, Balozi, Zimmerman, Kahawa West and part of Githurai. Kamiti Maximum Security Prison
Kamiti Maximum Security Prison is a prison in Nairobi County, Kenya. The prison is within Roysambu Constituency, Kasarani District, bordering Kiambu County. Originally named "Kamiti Downs", it sits in the middle of its own estates which lie fallow and untended. During the 1980s and early 1990s many political prisoners were held at Kamiti, including Hussein Onyango Obama, Kenneth Matiba, Raila Odinga, Koigi wa Wamwere, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o, Jonah Anguka and numerous others. Githurai is a composition of densely populated, urban, mixed-use settlements located at the border of Nairobi County and Kiambu County along the Thika superhighway. Githurai is divided into two; Githurai 45 (also known as Githurai Kimbo) and Githurai 44.
