Royal Television Society Programme Awards
The Royal Television Society Programme Awards, (often referred to as the RTS Awards) seek to recognise programmes or individuals who have made a positive and material contribution to their genre: either because their content or originality in form has in some way moved the genre forward, or perhaps even created a new genre; or because their quality has set standards which other programme-makers can emulate and learn from. In addition to the national awards, the Royal Television Society also hosts a number of regional award ceremonies throughout the UK and Ireland. Award Categories The original Royal Television Society Programme Awards can be traced back to 1975 when there were just seven categories. Danny Murphy (born 2004) is a British deaf actor who appeared in the 2019 film '' The Parts You Lose'' alongside Aaron Paul. Murphy is fluent in British Sign Language. Background Danny Murphy was born on 20 February 2004. He is fifth-generation deaf on his father's side of the family. Murphy grew up in Wallsend in England with his parents Kelly and Charles and his older brother and younger sister. His parents are deaf, and his siblings are hearing. The Serpent (TV Series)
''The Serpent'' is a British crime drama serial developed by Mammoth Screen and commissioned by the BBC. The eight-part limited series is a co-production between BBC One and Netflix. It is based on the crimes of serial killer Charles Sobhraj, who murdered young tourists from 1975 to 1976. The series stars Tahar Rahim in the lead role as Sobhraj. The series was shot on location in Thailand, until the COVID-19 pandemic which halted production for five months from March 2020. Filming was completed in Hertfordshire, England, during August 2020. ''We Are Lady Parts'' is a British television sitcom created, written, and directed by Nida Manzoor. The series follows an eponymous British punk rock band that consists entirely of Muslim women. ''The Last Leg'' (known during its first series as ''The Last Leg with Adam Hills'' and in Australia as ''Adam Hills: The Last Leg'') is a British comedy and late-night television talk/sketch show that originally ran alongside the 2012 Summer Paralympics every night following the main coverage on Channel 4. Anchored by Australian comedian Adam Hills and co-hosted by Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker, it gives a review of the week's events. ''The Rubbish World of Dave Spud'' (shortened to ''Dave Spud'') is a British children's animated series featuring the surreal adventures of the eponymous Dave Spud of Grimsby, his friends and tower block-dwelling family. It was created and directed by Edward Foster, inspired by his 2003 NFTS student short 'Anna Spud'.
