The Royal Order of the Elephant of Godenu is a dynastic Order of Merit in the sub-national kingdom of Godenu, Volta Region of Ghana. The current Grand Master of the Order is the traditional ruler Togbe Osei III. Medals and grades The Order is awarded in three grades: * Grand Cross (GCREG) * Commander (CREG) * Knight (KREG) or Dame (DREG) The Order is usually granted for life in all grades. Only rarely, at the Grand Cross level, may it be granted as an hereditary dignity to reward exceptional service to the Royal House. Privileges All members of the Order are entitled to use the honorary title of "Knight" or "Dame". Recipients of the Grand Cross may use the prefix style of "His or Her Excellency". Recipients of the two other grades may use the prefix style of "The Honourable". Members may wear the appropriate Insignia for their grade and use the Insignia in their heraldry. Togbe Osei III
''Togbe'' Osei III (born 18 August 1966) is the ''Togbe'' of Godenu. Life ''Togbe'' Osei III was born on August 18, 1966. He attended and formed some of Ghana's top schools before taking the National Service Exam. ''Togbe'' working career started at Ghanaian Education Service, a national authority for education, and continued his distinguished career in the Ghana Police Service. After serving in the police force, ''Togbe'' was called as a security consultant to various government institutions. On June 29, 2002, he was appointed as traditional ruler, or ''Togbe'', of Godenu succeeding his grandfather and following a line of birthright of the Gadagoe family. Since 2009, he has held a prominent position at the Ministry of Justice in Ghana, a department within the Judicial Service of Ghana. Godenu
Gbi-Godenu is a divisional chieftaincy of the traditional area of Hohoe recognized within of the Constitution of Ghana and legislation regulating the "Headquarters" in Ghanaian society.
