Royal Lahaina Challenger
The Tennis Championships of Maui (formerly known as the Honolulu Challenger, the Maui Challenger and the Royal Lahaina Challenger) is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is currently part of the ATP Challenger Tour. It is held annually in Lahaina, Maui. It was moved from Honolulu to Maui in 2013, and to the Royal Lahaina in 2014. The tournament was included in the ITF Women's Circuit for one year, in 2016. Lahaina ( haw, Lāhainā) is the largest census-designated place (CDP) in West Maui, Maui County, Hawaii, United States and includes the Kaanapali and Kapalua beach resorts. As of the 2020 census, the CDP had a resident population of 12,702. Lahaina encompasses the coast along Hawaii Route 30 from a tunnel at the south end, through Olowalu and to the CDP of Napili-Honokowai to the north. Mikhail "Mischa" Alexandrovich Zverev (russian: Михаил "Миша" Александрович Зверев, , ; born 22 August 1987) is a German professional tennis player born in Russia. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 25 on 24 July 2017. is a Japanese-American professional tennis player. He has won one ATP Tour singles title at the 2018 Istanbul Open, seven ATP Challenger Tour singles titles and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 64 on 27 August 2018. Chung Hyeon
Chung Hyeon (; ; born 19 May 1996) is a South Korean professional tennis player. He is the 2017 Next Gen Finals champion. As an unseeded player, he became the first Korean player to reach a Grand Slam semifinal at the 2018 Australian Open. Junior career Chung took up tennis as a way to try to help maintain his eyesight after requiring glasses at a young age. Kyle Steven Edmund (born 8 January 1995) is a South African born-British professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 14 and was the top-ranked male British tennis player from March 2018 through October 2019. Edmund is an Australian Open semifinalist, and only the sixth British man to play in a major singles semifinal in the Open Era. He won his maiden ATP Tour title at Antwerp in October 2018. Nicolas Christian Meister (born May 15, 1989) is an American tennis player. Meister has a career high ATP singles ranking of 263 achieved on June 13, 2016. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of 180 achieved on September 26, 2016. Jared Donaldson
Jared Donaldson (born October 9, 1996) is a former American professional tennis player from Glocester, Rhode Island. Donaldson was the only American to qualify for the inaugural Next Generation ATP Finals at the end of 2017 as the fifth seed. He has won a Challenger title in singles as well as doubles, with both of them having come at the Royal Lahaina Challenger in 2015. Junior career Donaldson trained on the red clay in Buenos Aires for two years instead of following the conventional route of joining a tennis academy or USTA Player Development. His time there dramatically improved his consistency, movement and mental game.
