The Royal George Hotel is a heritage listed building that operates as a hotel in Albany, Western Australia, Albany in the Great Southern (Western Australia), Great Southern region of Western Australia. It is located along Stirling Terrace, Albany, Stirling Terrace, overlooking Princess Royal Harbour adjacent to the White Star Hotel. The three storey building is an example of Victorian architecture, Victorian Free Classical architecture and is part of a group of commercial buildings with an asymmetrical façade and inter-columnisation. The building has a painted rendered brick facade on the second and third storeys with painted brick below. The roof is concealed by a parapet wall with gables and classical decorative motifs. Street level windows are arched and a cantilevered box verandah provides some shade and cover. Royal George Hotel is a heritage-listed pub located at 115–117 Sussex Street, in the Sydney central business district, in the City of Sydney local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was built in 1903. The adjoining former Cuthbert's Patent Slip building, assumed to date from 1869 and also heritage-listed, has also been incorporated into the hotel complex in recent decades. A hotel is known to have existed on this site since 1850. Royal George Hotel, Monmouth
Royal George House in Monmouth, Wales, is a large Georgian townhouse of . Its architectural style is "old-fashioned" for its date, drawing on Carolean models such as Tredegar House. Built as a private residence, in 1800 it was occupied by the commander of the Monmouthshire Militia. In the 19th and 20th centuries the building was a hotel, first the ''Ivy Bank'' and then the ''Royal George''. By the 1980s, it was empty and derelict. Restored, and significantly altered internally, in 1985–1987, it was subsequently a nursing home, and as of 2017 it houses commercial offices and residential apartments. It is a Grade II* listed building. History The house is early 18th century in date with an historical attribution to 1730. Constructed as a residential townhouse, it was owned in 1800 by the commander of the Monmouthshire Militia. The commander undertook significant remodelling of the house.
