David Rowson
David Andrew Rowson (born 14 September 1976) is a Scottish former footballer. Career He started his professional career at his home town club Aberdeen, whilst at Aberdeen was a key member of the side that made the Scottish Cup final in 2000. He returned from a loan spell at Livingston halfway through the season where he was sent to recuperate from a knee injury. During the last 10 games of season 1999–00, he did enough to merit his place in the side to play Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final, ahead of fans favourite Hicham Zerouali. In 2001, he earned a move to Stoke City. However, injuries blighted his time there, limiting him to only 18 appearances and consequently, he returned north of the border to join Partick Thistle. After playing there for a season, he announced his desire to move to an English club in the summer, sparking a host of clubs bidding for his signature, and he joined League Two side Northampton Town on a two-year contract. Guy Rowson
Guy Rowson (1883 - 16 November 1937) was a British Labour Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Farnworth in Lancashire. He was elected in 1929, defeated in 1931, Charles Roger Dod, Robert Phipps Dod, ''Dod's parliamentary companion'', Publisher Dod's Parliamentary Companion, ltd., 1936.page 423 and re-elected in 1935, until his death in 1937. He was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the then Labour leader of the opposition, Clement Attlee. James Frank Rowson (born September 12, 1976) is an American professional baseball coach. He is currently the assistant hitting coach for the Detroit Tigers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was previously a coach in MLB for the Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins and Miami Marlins. Playing career The Seattle Mariners drafted Rowson in the ninth round of the 1994 MLB Draft. He played minor league baseball in the Mariners' and the New York Yankees' minor league systems from 1995 to 1997, and played for the Cook County Cheetahs in the independent Heartland League in 1998. Post-playing career Rowson served as the Yankees' minor league hitting coordinator for six seasons, joining the Chicago Cubs as their minor league hitting coordinator for the 2012 season. Jonathan Rowson
Jonathan Rowson (born 18 April 1977) is a Scottish chess player and philosopher. He is a three-time Scottish chess champion and was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1999. As Director of the Social Brain Centre at the United Kingdom's Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), he authored numerous research reports on behavior change, climate change, and spirituality. Career He made his Scotland debut for the national Primary School team in the match against England in 1988.
