Lake Albano
Lake Albano (Italian: ''Lago Albano'' or ''Lago di Castel Gandolfo'') is a small volcanic crater lake in the Alban Hills of Lazio, at the foot of Monte Cavo, southeast of Rome. Josef Kloimstein
Josef Kloimstein (1 November 1929 – 15 November 2012) was an Austrian rower who competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics, in the 1960 Summer Olympics The 1960 Summer Olympics ( it, Giochi Olimpici estivi del 1960), officially known as the Games of the XVII Olympiad ( it, Giochi della XVII Olimpiade) and commonly known as Rome 1960 ( it, Roma 1960), were an international multi-sport event held ..., and in the 1964 Summer Olympics. He was born in Rufling. In 1956 he and his partner Alfred Sageder won the bronze medal in the coxless pairs event. Arthur Ayrault
Arthur Delancey "Dan" Ayrault Jr. (January 21, 1935 – February 24, 1990) was an American competitive rower and two-time Olympic gold medalist. While competing at the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, Australia, Ayrault won a gold medal in coxed pair with Conn Findlay and Kurt Seiffert. During the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy, he earned a gold medal in coxless four. Ayrault's teammates were Ted Nash, John Sayre, and Rusty Wailes. Early life and education Ayrault was born in Long Beach, California, on January 21, 1935. He graduated from the Morristown School (now Morristown-Beard School) in Morristown, New Jersey, in 1952. Kent Mitchell
Henry Kent Mitchell II (born March 29, 1939) is a retired American rowing coxswain. He competed in the coxed pairs at the 1960 and 1964 Olympics and won a bronze and a gold medal, respectively. He was a law student at the UC Berkeley School of Law at the time. He won a bronze medal in the same event in 1960 while an undergraduate at Stanford University (class of 1961). Only two other Americans have coxed two crews to Olympic medals. He also coxed Stanford to two national championships, in 1961 and 1962. Following graduation from law school in 1965 he practiced law in Palo Alto, California. Conn Findlay
Francis Conn Findlay (April 24, 1930April 8, 2021) was an American Olympic rower and sailor. He won four Olympic medals in those two sports, including two golds in coxed pair. He was also part of the America's Cup sailing crews that won in 1974 and 1977. He is one of 11 sailors to have won both the America's Cup and an Olympic medal. Findlay started competitive rowing while attending the University of Southern California. He participated in his first Olympic Games in 1956, winning his first gold medal in coxed pair. After finishing third in that discipline at the Olympics four years later, he recaptured gold at the 1964 Summer Olympics. He did not make another Olympic appearance for 12 years until returning in 1976, switching to sailing and securing bronze in Tempest class. Igor Aleksandrovich Rudakov (russian: Игорь Александрович Рудаков; born 8 October 1934) is a Russian coxswain who competed for the Soviet Union in the 1960, 1964, 1968, and in the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was born in Leningrad. In 1960 he was the coxswain of the Soviet boat that won the silver medal in the coxed pair event. Zigmas Pranciškus Jukna (13 July 1935 – 7 October 1980) was a Lithuanian rower. He competed for the Soviet Union at the 1960, 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics, and finished in second, fifth and third place in the coxed pairs, eights and eights events, respectively. Between 1961 and 1969 he won three gold and five silver medals at European and world championships. Starting from 1971 he worked as a judge with the International Rowing Federation.
