''Rowdy'' is an American documentary film about the NASCAR career of Kyle Busch. It premiered at Regal Opry Mills on June 23, 2022. It was later acquired by Amazon and premiered on Amazon Freevee on February 3, 2023. Summary The film covers the NASCAR career of Kyle Busch. It includes his reaction to the death of his friend and confidant Ricky Hendrick in the 2004 Hendrick Motorsports aircraft crash, and explores his relationship with his older brother Kurt Busch and his rivalry with Dale Earnhardt Jr. It looks at his 2015 season, which began with a crash at Daytona International Speedway that required extensive rehabilitation, and ended with his first championship win at the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Kyle Thomas Busch (born May 2, 1985) is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Richard Childress Racing and part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 51 Chevrolet Silverado for Kyle Busch Motorsports. Joseph Riddick "Rick" Hendrick III (born July 12, 1949), nicknamed "Mr. H", is an American businessman. He is best known as the owner of the NASCAR team Hendrick Motorsports. He is also a co-owner of JR Motorsports and founder of the Hendrick Automotive Group, a network of over 100 car dealerships. Nashville Superspeedway
Nashville Superspeedway is a motor racing complex located in Gladeville, Tennessee, United States (though the track has a Lebanon postal address), about southeast of Nashville. The track was built in 2001 and is currently hosting the Ally 400, a NASCAR Cup Series regular season event, the Tennessee Lottery 250, and the Rackley Roofing 200. It is a concrete oval track 1 miles (2.145 km) long. Nashville Superspeedway is owned by Speedway Motorsports, which acquired the track’s previous owner Dover Motorsports in December 2021. Nashville Superspeedway is the longest concrete oval in NASCAR. Current permanent seating capacity is approximately 25,000, but will reach up to 38,000 for the NASCAR Cup Series event in 2021. Jamie Little (born April 9, 1978) is an American pit reporter for NASCAR coverage on Fox. Little is a former pit reporter for ESPN/ABC coverage of the Indy Racing League, although she returned to her pit reporting duty for the 2007 and 2008 Indianapolis 500 as well as the 2013 Firestone 550, and ''NASCAR on ESPN''. Little joined ESPN in 1998 and covered both the Winter and Summer X Games. She is well known among the motocross and extreme sports community for being a pit reporter on ESPN's ''Motoworld'' program. Martin Smith is an American sports journalist, best known for his work with ESPN. Smith was hired by the network in 2006 for NASCAR coverage. He hosted an interview show titled ''SportsCenter Presents: Marty Smith’s America''. He is also known as the Blue Ridge Auto Group guy. Early life Marty Smith is a native of Pearisburg, Virginia. He attended Giles High School, where he was a member of the school's 1993 state champion football team. Smith later attended Radford University.
