A.S. Rouvas Gergeri, short for Athlitikós Sýllogos Roúvas Gérgeris ( el, Αθλητικός Σύλλογος Ρούβας Γέργερης, translated ''Athletic Club Rouvas of Gergeri''), and more commonly known simply as Rouvas, is a Greek football club, based in Gergeri, Heraklion prefecture, Crete. The club was founded in December 1961. In 2011, they were promoted to the Gamma Ethniki, the third tier of the Greek football league system, for the first time in their history by finishing 1st in Group 10 of the 2010–11 Delta Ethniki. The club currently competes in the amateur Heraklion FCA Α2 Division, and hosts its home games at the Gergeri Municipal Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 600 spectators. Heraklion Football Clubs Association
The Heraklion Football Clubs Association ( el, Ένωση Ποδοσφαιρικών Σωματείων Ηρακλείου or Ε.Π.Σ.Η.) is an association responsible for administering football in the region of Heraklion. It is based in the city of Heraklion and is a member of the Hellenic Football Federation. Gergeri
Gergeri ( el, Γέργερη) is the seat of Rouvas municipal unit in Heraklion regional unit in the Greek island of Crete. The population was 1,440 in 2011. Gergeri's location is at a region called "Pano Riza" of Psiloreiti's, and in that region there are also the villages Panasos, Nivritos, Zaros, Vorizia and Kamares. The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece.
