State Highway 288 (SH 288) is a north–south highway in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Texas, between I-45 in downtown Houston and Freeport, where it terminates on FM 1495. The route was originally designated by 1939, replacing the southern portion of SH 19. Route description In Harris County, SH 288 is the South Freeway, a divided freeway known for having one of the widest medians of the local road system. It begins as freeway status from its northern terminus at Interstate 69/ U.S. Route 59 just south of downtown southward through south Houston. It reaches an intersection with I-610 and continues south through newer subdivisions. It reaches an intersection with State Highway 6, after which it loses its freeway status. State Route 288 (SR 288) is a north-south state highway in Warren and DeKalb counties of Middle Tennessee. Route description SR 288 begins in Warren County at an intersection with US 70S/ SR 1 just east of McMinnville. It heads northeast along Old Rock Island Road, a former alignment of US 70S, for a short distance before turning northwest along Hennessee Bridge Road. The highway winds its way northwest through farmland for several miles, where it crosses a bridge over the Collins River, to merge onto Francis Ferry Road and pass through Midway, where it has an intersection with SR 287. South Carolina Highway 288 (SC 288) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The highway connects Pumpkintown and Slater-Marietta. Route description SC 288 begins at an intersection with U.S. Route 178 (US 178; Moorefield Memorial Highway) east-northeast of Sunset within Pickens County. It travels to the east-northeast and crosses the Oolenoy River and Mill Creek. Farther to the east is a crossing of Carrick Creek just before entering Pumpkintown. There, it intersects SC 8 (Pumpkintown Highway). Just to the east of town is a crossing of Weaver Creek. The highway is 15.4 miles (24 km) long and runs from PA 18 in Wampum east to the US 19/ PA 68 concurrency in Zelienople. Route description PA 288 begins at an intersection with PA 18 in the borough of Wampum, Lawrence County, heading north on two-lane undivided Main Street. The road passes through wooded areas and turns northwest, crossing under Norfolk Southern's Koppel Secondary railroad line before running to the west of CSX's Pittsburgh Subdivision railroad line and passing under Norfolk Southern's Youngstown Line. State Route 288 (SR 288) is a long east–west state highway in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The western terminus of SR 288 is at a T-intersection with SR 309 about southwest of Galion. Its eastern terminus is also at a T-intersection, this time with SR 97 approximately northwest of Lexington. Route description SR 288 runs exclusively through the rural northern portion of Morrow County. The route begins at a T-intersection with SR 309 in Washington Township. It heads a short distance east and immediately intersects SR 61. SR 288 curves to the east-northeast just past this junction, bounded by farmland on the south side and woods on the north side.
