Roun McNeal
Rounsaville S. McNeal, also known as Roun McNeal, (born September 4, 1984) is an American politician who served as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives for the 105th district from 2016 to 2020. Background McNeal was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in 1984. He attended Greene County High School in Leakesville, Mississippi. He attended the University of Mississippi where he received a B.A. in political science. There, he was student body president and a member of St. Anthony Hall. He received a J.D. in law from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Career McNeal is an attorney in private practice in Leakesville as Rounsaville Mc Neal PLLC. Dale Goodin (born October 13, 1958) is an American politician serving as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 105th district. Elected in November 2019, he assumed office on January 7, 2020. Early life and education Goodin was born in New Orleans and attended New Augusta High School in New Augusta, Mississippi. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in business administration from Mercer County Community College, a Bachelor of Arts from Western Illinois University, and a Master of Science in educational leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi. The Mississippi House of Representatives is the lower house of the Mississippi Legislature, the lawmaking body of the U.S. state of Mississippi. According to the state constitution of 1890, it is to comprise no more than 122 members elected for four-year terms. To qualify as a member of the House candidates must be at least 21 years old, a resident of Mississippi for at least four years, and a resident in the district for at least two years. Elections are held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Leakesville, Mississippi
Leakesville is a town in and the county seat of Greene County, Mississippi, United States. It is located along the Chickasawhay River in Greene County, Mississippi, United States. It is served by the junction of Mississippi routes 57 and 63. As of the 2010 census, the rural town population was 898, down from 1,026 at the 2000 census. History Like most of Mississippi, this area was part of the traditional territory of the historic Choctaw. Under the Indian Removal Act of 1830, they were forced to cede their lands in this area to the United States. The Choctaw were the first of the Southeast Five Civilized Tribes to be removed to Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), west of the Mississippi River. The University of Mississippi (byname Ole Miss) is a public research university that is located adjacent to Oxford, Mississippi, and has a medical center in Jackson.
