The softskin smooth-head (''Rouleina attrita''), also called the softskin slickhead, is a species of fish in the family Alepocephalidae. Its specific name is from the Latin ''attrīta'' ("bruised, worn away"), presumably referring to the mutilated or decomposed state of the type specimens.
