Roulado (Gônaïves)
Roulado Football Club de la Gonâve is a professional football club based in Gonâve Island, Haiti. The team was promoted to the top division of football in Haiti in 2014. It plays at two stadiums. The primary stadium, Parc Savil Dessain is located at the countryside of the island and Parc Tony Wolf, a substitute stadium, is located at Anse-à-Galets. A notable player is former Haiti international forward Jean-Robert Menelas who, as of 2008, had become all-time leading goalscorer in the Haitian top division during 14 years playing for Roulado, his only club. 2016 Ligue Haïtienne Season
The 2016 Ligue Haïtienne season was the 53rd season of top-tier football in Haiti. It began on 21 February 2016. The league is split into two tournaments—the ''Série d'Ouverture'' and the ''Série de Clôture''—each with identical formats and each contested by the same 18 teams. In a change from last year, the number of teams in the league has been reduced from 20 to 18. Teams At the end of the 2015 season, the bottom 4 teams in the aggregate table; Valencia, PNH, US Lajeune, and Racine FC; were relegated to the Haitian second level leagues. Ligue Haïtienne (; ''Haitian League''), is a Haitian professional league, governed by the Haitian Football Federation, for association football clubs. It is the country's primary football competition and serves as the top division of the Haitian football league system. Contested by 18 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Division 2. Clubs also compete against continental rivals in the CONCACAF Champions League. Gonâve Island or Zile Lagonav (french: Île de la Gonâve, ; also ''La Gonâve'') is an island of Haiti located west-northwest of Port-au-Prince in the Gulf of Gonâve. Football in Haiti first developed in the state capital of Port-au-Prince, where a regional championship round was already held for the first time in 1912. The Haiti national football team (french: Équipe d'Haïti de football, Haitian Creole: ''Ekip foutbòl Ayiti'') represents Haiti in international football. Haiti is administered by the Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF), the governing body for football in Haiti. Jean-Robert Menelas
Jean Rebort Menelas (born 11 December 1972) is a Haitian footballer who has played for the Haiti national football team. He played striker for Roulado, a club from the Gonâve Island with which he won the Ligue Haïtienne on the occasions: 2002 and 2003. For the 2002 season he was also the league's topscorer. As of 2008, Menelas has become the all-time leading goalscorer in the Haitian top division during 14 years playing for Roulado, his only club. He is considered to be the best player in the history of Roulado, and one of the best strikers of his generation in Haiti. The club retired his number 7 jersey; the first in the history of Haitian football that a number would be permanently removed. CFU Club Championship
The Caribbean Club Championship, also known as the CFU Club Championship or CFU Club Champions' Cup, was an annual international football competition held amongst association football clubs that are members of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU). The Caribbean Club Championship served as a qualifying event for the CONCACAF Champions League tournament. The tournament was officially the Flow CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship for sponsorship reasons from 2018 to 2022. With the expansion of the CONCACAF Champions League starting from the 2024 edition, the 2022 edition of the Caribbean Club Championship was the last held.
